KESA – Kuchipudi Education in School Academics
District-wise Empanelment of Kuchipudi Dance Trainers (2026–27)
Rudra Kalakshetram Cultural Society (RKCS), Guntur – an ISO 9001:2015 certified Examination Board for Indian Art & Culture – invites applications for district-wise empanelment of Kuchipudi Dance Trainers under the project “Kuchipudi Education in School Academics (KESA)”.
KESA is a structured, exam-oriented Kuchipudi curriculum designed for school students studying Grade 3 to 9, implemented within regular school timings or as specified by the school management.
Important: This notification is for empanelment. Appointment in any school depends on actual school tie-ups under the KESA project and availability of trainers in each district.
About the KESA Project
KESA was launched as a pilot project in 2022 at Katuri Public School, Lalpuram, Guntur, with a fully structured multi-level syllabus, regular assessments and final examinations.
Based on the success of the pilot, the project has now been extended to:
Katuri High School, Lalpuram, Guntur
Sri Kondaveedu Public School, Sangadigunta, Guntur
St. Anne’s (CBSE) High School, Guntupalli, Vijayawada
- St. Anne’s (State) High School, Guntupalli, Vijayawada
The KESA curriculum currently runs in Guntur and Krishna districts, with:
Seven progressive levels from Novice to Expert (Level 1–7) aligned with school grades 3–9
Annual training calendar from July to February, periodic internal assessments, and final exams evaluated by traditional Kuchipudi Gurus
Certificates issued by Rudra Kalakshetram Cultural Society, an ISO Certified Examination Board registered Society by State Government and Ministry of Niti-Aayog
The project has already created multiple faculty and trainer opportunities and is now expanding to more schools and districts.
Nature of Engagement
Engagement is project-based, linked to the number of schools that adopt the KESA curriculum in collaboration with RKCS.
Number of posts is not fixed; trainers are appointed whenever a school signs an MoU with RKCS and requires a trainer in that district.
Appointments usually happen at the beginning of the academic year, but may occur at other times depending on school requirements.
Empanelment / posting is not a permanent job; it is a professional engagement under the KESA project.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification
Certificate / Diploma / Postgraduate degree in Kuchipudi from any University / recognized institution.
Preferred Qualification
- Teaching experience in classical dance
- Stage performance experience in Kuchipudi
- Knowledge of Nattuvangam / Carnatic music
Experience or interest in teaching school-going children
Other Requirements
Good communication and class-handling skills
Willingness to follow RKCS teaching methodologies and syllabus
Availability to work during school hours, as per the school timetable
Remuneration
Remuneration is calculated based on the project structure, up to 40% of the income generated from the school where the trainer is appointed.
The pay structure is designed to match or exceed UGC-recommended per-hour norms when calculated against actual working hours.
Final remuneration for each school will depend on:
Number of students enrolled in the KESA course
Overall project income from that school
Total hours allocated to the trainer
Recruitment & Selection Process
Shortlisting and selection are done in four stages:
Stage 1 – Online Application
Candidates must submit the online application form with:
Updated CV / bio-data
Scanned educational and training certificates
Performance video link (mandatory)
Recent photograph
District preference for posting
After preliminary screening, eligible candidates will be shortlisted.
Verification Fee (for Shortlisted Candidates)
Only shortlisted candidates will be asked to pay a nominal, non-refundable verification fee of Rs. 200/-.
This fee is used for document verification and performance video authenticity checks.
Candidates who complete this step will be moved to Stage 2.
Stage 2 – Video Screening
Shortlisted applications will be evaluated on:
Technique and adugulu clarity
Presentation and abhinaya / expression
Teaching potential
Alignment with the RKCS methodology and syllabus
Stage 3 – Interview
Candidates cleared in Stage 2 will be called for an interview, which may include:
Technical discussion
Theory and practical questions
Short teaching demonstration, if required
Stage 4 – Empanelment
Selected candidates will be empanelled as KESA Trainers for a standard validity of one academic year.
For institutes / centres that obtain RKCS Board affiliation, trainer validity may be extended to match the affiliation period.
Appointment letters will be issued only when a school signs an MoU and requires a trainer in that district.
Note: Submission of application does not guarantee appointment. RKCS reserves the right to accept or reject any application.
