What is an Examination in Classical Arts?
Rudra Kalakshetram Cultural Society (RKCS), Guntur, is a registered cultural organization committed to promoting structured education in Kuchipudi dance.
RKCS provides systematic training for students, teachers, and aspirants who wish to pursue academic and certification-based examinations in classical dance. Through its training programs, institutional collaborations, and academic initiatives, RKCS supports students in achieving recognized qualifications in Kuchipudi dance.
ISO Exams
Certified exams for all age groups, with no age limit. Both online and offline modes are available.
PSTU Exams
Comprehensive training for Certificate and Diploma exams by Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University.
Nattuvangam Diploma
A specialized diploma course in Kuchipudi Nattuvangam for holistic training and certification.
KESA
KESA (Kuchipudi Education in School Academics) is an initiative by RKCS to integrate structured Kuchipudi dance training
Kuchipudi Education in School Academics (KESA)
Rudra Kalakshetram Cultural Society has initiated an educational project titled KESA – Kuchipudi Education in School Academics.
This project aims to introduce structured Kuchipudi dance education within the academic framework of schools. Through KESA, students are trained systematically in both practical and theoretical aspects of Kuchipudi, enabling them to develop artistic discipline along with cultural awareness.
The KESA project is designed to encourage young students to pursue classical arts while maintaining academic standards and structured learning methods.
Training for University Examinations
Rudra Kalakshetram functions as a training institute providing both online and offline coaching for students who wish to appear for examinations conducted by universities offering programs in performing arts.
Students are trained to appear for examinations conducted by universities such as:
• Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University (PSTU)
• Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) / SPTU
• Other universities offering classical dance examinations
RKCS provides complete preparation including:
• Practical dance training
• Theory guidance
• Examination-oriented syllabus teaching
• Performance preparation
After completing their training at RKCS, students can appear for examinations conducted by the respective universities.
HAMS Examinations (Hindusthan Arts and Music Society)
Rudra Kalakshetram Cultural Society is a registered examination centre for Hindusthan Arts and Music Society (HAMS), Kolkata, an established examination board for Indian classical arts.
HAMS conducts graded examinations in various classical art forms. These examinations provide structured certification opportunities for students who are learning classical arts.
Many students who are below the minimum age requirement for university examinations (generally 14 years) can appear for HAMS examinations through RKCS.
As an authorized examination centre, RKCS conducts HAMS examinations through different modes and prepares students according to the HAMS syllabus.
Diploma in Kuchipudi Nattuvangam
Rudra Kalakshetram Cultural Society has introduced a specialized program titled “Diploma in Kuchipudi Nattuvangam.”
This course is designed primarily for Kuchipudi dance teachers and advanced students who wish to develop strong skills in nattuvangam, rhythm control, and dance accompaniment.
Through this program, participants learn:
• Practical Nattuvangam techniques
• Tala system and rhythm understanding
• Accompaniment for Kuchipudi performances
• Teaching methodology for dance instructors
This program is conducted online, enabling dance teachers from different regions to enhance the quality of their teaching and performance standards.
