To promote, sustain and develop the cultural heritage of Andhra Pradesh

by supporting various forms of artistic expressions, cultural creativities and through continuous Academic activity.

MANDATE

Education
  • Promote all the traditional cultural art forms specifically Kuchipudi, an indigenous art form of Andhra Pradesh as well as artistic manifestations including folklore and allied Cultural art forms.
  • Create the awareness about the cultural expressions at school level by establishing Music & Dance centres and imparting education through continuous academic activity.
  • Achieve absolute excellence in the field of Art, Culture, Music, Dance, Drama etc. by way of providing support to the artists and art organization in an organized way.
Research
  • Compile the data and make the resources available (both online & Offline) to the aspirants of acquiring knowledge pertaining to Kuchipudi Art.
  • Access to the diverse folk arts traditions.
  • Document and disseminate scholarly interviews, lecture-demonstrations, and webinars on Kuchipudi and allied art forms, creating a digital archive for researchers, students, and the global community.
Extension
  • Create a network for all the various artistic disciplines to share information, ideas and performance opportunities.
  • Organize cultural events, workshops, and lecture-demonstrations to increase public awareness and participation.
  • Provide technical assistance, linkages, advocacy and other services to individual artists and arts/cultural organizations.
  • Develop modern infra-structure pertaining to Kuchipudi Art.
  • Empower artists and encourage arts advocacy, fosters creativity and diverse connections and collaborations and champions innovation and equity within the arts to cultivate a dynamic community.
